Raisin Bread

Ingredients
Place in bread maker in the following order:2 cups skim milk1/4 cup sugar1 tbsp. salt1 tbsp. cinnamon1/4 cup shortening4 1/2 cups white flour1 1/2 tsp. yeast1 1/2 cups raisins (Add at beep)
Directions
Let rise in bread maker.
Remove from bread maker and form into 2 bread pans.
Let rise again in pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 35 minutes.

    I use whole grain flour in my breads and don't eat white flour so I wouldn't make it, not enough fibre - 3/22/08

    This a recipe my wife makes and I find it the best tasting that I've ever had. I enjoy raisin bread and it probably is a good thing she does not make that often because I could eat more than I should. It is great as toast also. Highly recommend & not just because it is Joan's recipe. - 3/16/08
