Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
Flour 2 1/4 cBrown Sugar 1 c, packed3/4 c Shortening1/4 c molasses1 egg1 t baking soda1 t ground ginger1 t ground cinnamon1/2 t ground cloves1/4 c sugar (for rolling dough in)
Directions
Combine about 1/2 the flour with the rest of the ingredients minus the plain sugar. Beat until combined, add the rest of the flour. Roll into 1 inch balls and roll those in the sugar. Place 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Make at 375 degrees 8-10 minutes or until tops are set and edges are cracked.
Cool one minute on sheet and them transfer to a rack
