Everyone is right .... VERY good. I put it through the blender to make it smooth. The basil just makes it perfect. Yum. - 12/8/10

Where we are canned tomatoes come in several sizes (12oz to 28 oz). What size of can do you use? Is a serving 1 cup?
This is rather unclear. - 2/20/13

The soup was much better than I anticipated. The thick texture was preferable over canned soup and it was not necessary to add salt. It was quite simple to make, but the recipe exaggerated the time. - 1/1/12

This is awesome. I was craving tomato soup but can't have all the junk in the canned kind. I'm glad I made this, it's so much better, and super easy. I used vegetable broth and kept everything organic. So good! - 8/30/10

This is a great quick recipe. I used fresh tomatoes and made it in my Vita-Mix. Very light and tasty, not at all heavy like canned soup. I forgot to rate in my first entry. This deserves 5 stars! - 2/11/10
