3 Chicken wings,4 tablespoons soy sauce2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
I just discovered, I can cook THE most tender and juicy chicken wings, by wrapping them up in cooking foil and putting them on hot coals (with a little remaining fire) in my home fireplace. My fire place is inclosed and free standing, however I guess the traditional kind would work also but may take longer than twenty minutes.
What to do:
Marinate chicken wings in soy sauce and honey, for 1-2 hours.
Wrap chicken wings together in cooking foil, tightly. (If you are cooking for more than one person, wrap chicken wings two by two, this ensures they cook evenly and properly. Be sure not to leave any chicken exposed and feel free to add two layers.
Place into fireplace, using tongs to do so, onto hot coals. Turn every 5 minutes, or when necessary. Cook for approximately 20 minutes.
Unwrap chicken. It will look almost raw, however, when you cut it to the bone, the bone is cooked and it is perfectly safe to eat. Chicken is moist and tender, so juicy! They will also have a nice subtle smokey flavour. If a bit gets burnt, dont worry! The crispy bits are delish, too!
Serve with boiled/steamed vegetables. Delish!
