Quick/Easy Puerto Rican Beans and Rice (Main Entree or Side Dish)

2 bags boil in bag brown rice2 slices bacon cut into small pieces (raw)*for better health, use turkey bacon1 Tbs vegetable oil1 tsp garlic powder1 tsp adobo seasoning1 medium bell pepper diced small3 Tbs sofrito sauce1 package sazon con azafran2 (16 oz each) cans kidney beans or pink beans, mostly drained. Only a small amount of liquid is needed to bring sauce together.
Boil rice according to instructions. Drain very well. Set aside. Add oil and heat on med/low. When hot, Add bell pepper and cook about 2 minutes. Add bacon pieces. Once it starts to really sizzle, add garlic powder and adobo seasoning. Stir well and then add sofrito and sazon con azafran packet. Stir well. Add beans and stir. When all is well heated, serve over Rice.
