Hamburger Buns

Ingredients
5 cups bread or all-purpose flour1 Tbsp salt2 Tbsp yeast2 Tbsp butter2 cups hot water
Directions
Mix 2 cups flour with salt and yeast. Cut butter into small pieces and mix into flour mixture. Add hot water, stirring until batter is smooth and butter is incorporated. Add the rest of the flour 1/2 cup at a time until dough forms a stiff ball.
On a floured surface, knead dough for 8 mins. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise for 30-40 mins, until doubled in bulk.
Punch down dough and divide into 12 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and let rest for 4 or 5 mins, covered with a towel.
Sprinkle a large cookie sheet with corn meal.
Press each ball of dough between your hands until it is about 1 inch thick and about 3 to 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Place on the cookie sheet. Cover and let rise for 30 mins.
Preheat oven to 400 F 20 mins into the 2nd rising.
Remove cover from rolls, place on center shelf in the oven and bake for 30 mins, until golden brown and bottom sounds hollow when you tap on it with your finger. Remove to wire rack to cool.
