Ingredients
3 cups flour1 Tbs shortening (optional)1 Tbs salt1 Tbs yeast1 1/4 cup warm water1.5 Tbs sugar
Directions
Let water, yeast, and sugar brew for a couple minutes. Add 2 cups of flour, mix. After mixed, add salt and shortening (shortening is optional - it's purpose is as a preservative). Mix. Add at least one more cup of flour, more as needed.

If kneading by hand, knead for 10 minutes. Shape into loaf pan. Let rise 45 minutes. Put in cool oven, turn oven to 400 degrees, bake for 25 minutes.
