Shady Brook Lean Ground Turkey, 908 gram(s) 2 lbsCrushed Tomatoes, 795 grams (28 oz)Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz) Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped Yellow Peppers (bell peppers), 1 pepper, large(chopped) (3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Garlic, 2 tsp carroll shelby`s original texas chili, 6 serving (do not add the salt! or at least not that much that they give you!)White Rice, long grain, 1 cup not cooked,2 cup(cooked)
brown ground turkey with onions, garlic and peppers, I also add a little ittallian seasoning, no calories or fat or carbs about a teaspoon,, put rice in steamer(1 cup), drain meat, add water, crushed tomatoes (I get the really finely crushed),, add the seasonings in the Carroll chili kit (now there is a salt packet, if you dont add it remember the salt content is MUCH less then what this recipee says! they give you about a tablespoon which is a amazingl amount, way too much!) I also do not add the thickener packet as I dont like it too thick. let simmer for as long as you want to soak the flavors in, when rice is done I add it right to the chili. please remember the salt (sodium) is not near as high as it says if you do not add the salt from the chili, about 1,250 mg LESS each serving, if you do NOT add the salt packet! with the whole packet each serving has 1,613.4 mg, so do not add the salt and then you have much less.
