Yum--I used salsa instead of mexican diced tomatoes and also because I was subbing a second can of pintos for the refried beans and mashing. The whole family raved about this recipe--tho they did top it with cheese and had Fritos with it. - 4/20/08

I used turkey breast instead of the ground turkey. I was very pleased that the refried beans made the soup taste creamy without all of the fat. I will need to see if I can make this in a lower sodium version. It tastes good. - 10/26/15

Absolutely awesome! I omitted the onion and ranch dressing mix (didn't have either on hand), and it was still amazing. My whole family loves this recipe, and I will be making it everytime we have leftover turkey! - 10/22/11

This soup is delicious! My husband loved it also. Very good comfort food while also healthy. I added cayenne pepper also but only because I love extra spice. - 9/18/11
