Pumpkin Pie Cream of Wheat Cereal

Ingredients
1 Packet Instant Cream of Wheat Cereal2/3 cup water2 tbsp canned pumpkindash cinnamondash nutmegdash allspice1 packet Splenda
Directions
Microwave or boil water and prepare cream of wheat as directed on package. In a separate bowl, mix together pumpkin, spices, and Splenda. If desired, microwave for about 10 seconds or until warm. Mix into the cream of wheat cereal. Serve immediately. Makes one serving.

    Good additions to cream of wheat. I had more calories as I used a package of instant whole grain cream of wheat that is 150 calories. I usually eat oatmeal but thought I would try this. - 3/16/17

    This is one of regular breakfast items. I use regular cook cream of wheat though, and make a batch that I just keep ready in the fridge I also use twice the pumkin. - 9/5/12

    I did try and it is tasty! But I think I'd prefer more pumpkin - like ALILDUCKLING. I will try it with 4 TBL tomorrow.

    Please see 12/31/10 comments -- a little clarification -- we use 4 Tbsp. of pumpkin, unmeasured amount of pumpkin pie spice, and 1 packet of Splenda for a 1/2 c serving. We are a family who loves pumpkin! - 12/31/10

    I've made this twice now. It's pretty good. I don't have nutmeg or allspice though, so I just used extra cinnamon. I'll try it with the other two sometime. - 2/14/08

    I sprinkled a little vanilla whey protein in with mine & I used regular Cream of Wheat, not instant. YUM! Cream of Wheat is an excellent source of iron, which is always good! ;) - 10/26/07
