Rita's Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
1 lb. Hot Italian Sausage links1 lb. Ground beef1 lb. Ground turkey2 cups onion, chopped2 cups green pepper, chopped6 cloves garlic, chopped or minced2 Tablespoons Basil3 TAblespoons Oregano1 teaspoon pepper5 cups fresh mushrooms, whole or sliced2 Lg cans stewed/chopped tomatoes1 Lg can tomato puree or tomato sauce
Directions
Parboil Italian sausage. Set aside. Brown ground beef and ground turkey, rinse and drain. Saute onion, green pepper, and chopped garlic until onion is translucent. Return meat to skillet. Add stewed tomatoes and mushrooms. Season with basil, oregano and pepper. Add 28 oz can tomato puree or tomato sauce. Cover and simmer at least 30 minutes (I simmer all day, about 8 hours, stirring occassionally) Serve over hot pasta or rice.
