PA Dutch Cherry Pudding

Ingredients
0.5 cup Butter, salted1.0 cup Milk, 1%2.0 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw4.0 cup, without pits Sweet Cherries2.0 tsp Baking Powder1.5 cup Granulated Sugar3.0 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
Directions
Set-out butter to come to room temperature. Rinse, drain and pit cherries Preheat oven to 350°F, rack in middle position. Mix 2 cups of the flour with the baking powder and set aside. Cream butter well. Gradually add sugar. Cream together until fluffy. Lightly beat eggs and add to the mixture. Beat thoroughly (about 2 minutes). Alternately add the flour with baking powder mixture and the milk. Mixing just until blended after each addition. Add just enough remaining flour until it's thickened (I usually use all of it). Fold in Cherries. Grease the bottom only of a 13×9×2 pan Turn batter into pan and gently spread until even. Bake at 350° for 30-45 minutes. A toothpick will come out with no batter on it. Let cool and cut into 12 servings Enjoy in a bowl with extra milk and sprinkle sugar on top. Serving Size: Cut into 12 servings
