Ingredients
32 oz Water, chilled2 limes6 leaves of mint6 ice cubes
Directions
I make this right in my water bottle... simple enough.

Toss 6 ice cubes into your 32 oz water bottle.
Wash your limes!!!
Roll them on a counter or hard surface before cutting to increase the amount of juice they will provide.
Slice one lime and toss that into the bottle, too.
Slice the next lime in half and squeeze the juice of just half the lime into the bottle. (Save the other half for the next time you make this.)
Take about 6 leaves of mint, wash them and then crush them with your fingers. Toss them into the bottle.
Pour 32 oz of chilled water over the mix.
Shake.
Enjoy!

I find this to be the quickest and most tasty way yet to get in my water. The more chilled the beverage, the more refreshing!
Thanks to my cousin, the doctor, for this recipe suggestion AND for reminding me to wash my fruit!!!!

Bonus: Some studies say the smell of peppermint may help to shed pounds. According to a study at Wheeling Jesuit University, smelling peppermint decreased calorie consumption. Other studies suggest peppermint may increase alertness, so you're less likely to snack out of fatigue or boredom. And even if you don't push much faith into these studies, it certainly can't hurt!!

This was really good. Use basil instead of mint. Did make the first one with mint an did was good. But, really good with the basil. - 6/14/20

It could use something else in it. I just don't know what but will work on it. I didn't care for having mint pieces floating in it. - 6/4/12

I like the mint and citrus, but I think I'll leave the cukes out next time. It seems to overpower even the spearmint leaves. - 7/6/08
