Crock Pot Barbeque Chicken

2 lbs chicken breasts4 tbsp butter1 tbsp cooking oil1 medium onion, slivered3/4 medium green bell pepper, slivered1 cup favorite barbeque sauce1 cup ketchup1 tbsp yellow mustard1 tbsp brown sugar1 tsp hot sauce1/2 tsp ground gingerSalt & Pepper to taste
1. Saute chicken in oil until the outside is browned.
2. Put butter, onions and green pepper pieces in slow cooker. Lay sauteed chicken breasts on top of chicken. Add water and bring to a boil in slow cooker.
3. In a bowl, combine barbeque sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, hot sauce, ground ginger, salt and pepper. Pour over chicken. Set slow cooker to low and allow to cook for 10 hours.
Serving Size: Makes 12 servings.
