Garlic potato soup

Garlic, 1.5 cup (remove)Water, tap, 5 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)Leeks, 2 leek (remove)*Potato, raw, 4 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) (remove)*Canola Oil, 2 tbsp (remove)Salt, 3 tsp (remove)Pepper, black, 1 dash (remove)Cider Vinegar, 1 tbsp (remove)Tabasco Sauce, 0.25 tsp (remove)
Place water and garlic in pot, bring to a simmer for 30 minutes, remove garlic cloves and reserve for another use.
peel and cut potatos into cubes, sautee sliced leeks, and potatos in bottom of pan with oil for 8 minutes.
add broth and seasonings. Simmer until potatos are tender.
Using a hand blender, puree soup until it is creamy but still a little chunky, or desired consistancy.
