Sausage and Pesto Pasta Salad

Ingredients
1 pkg Isernio's Mild Italian Sausage1 lb whole wheat spaghetti, cooked and drained (reserve 1 c. pasta water to add to sauce)1/2 c chopped red onion1 c zucchini, halved, sliced thin1/4 red onion, sliced VERY thin1/2 c frozen peas1/3 c pesto sauce1.5 Tbsp extra Virgin olive oil (optional)salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Follow pkg directions for cooking sausages. Set aside to cool and slice into 1/4 in thick slices.
Cook pasta according to directions.
While pasta is cooking, slice veggies and set aside.
Drain off 1 c of pasta water b4 draining pasta.
While pasta drains, put pesto in pot used to cook pasta and add reserved water to thin out as needed.
Add veggies and sausage to pot, then drained pasta. Toss to coat and add evoo as needed (or not), salt and pepper to taste.

Makes 12 half cup servings.
