This was a good recipe. I like the fact that the recipe allows you to use whatever spices that you usually use but that the technique is what makes the roast retain it's juiciness. - 5/11/09

I love this recipe. The only thing I would change is to sear the meat on all sides (4 min a side) over medium heat in a large cast iron skillet or dutch oven before putting in the oven. This will make the meet even juicer and give it a nice texture on the outside. - 3/4/12

THIS RECIPE ROCKS! And I am a usually a harsh critic! I have been trying to cook a moist roast beef for years without success. This technique TRULY makes this roast beef moist. The only change I made to the recipe was to double the spice measure - but that's merely a personal taste preference. - 11/2/11

I marinate the roast in zesty Italian dressing for 4 days - flipping it twice a day. Then cook as above. Moist & full of flavor. Perfect every time. - 1/8/21

very good but I think 500 calories is too much for 3 ounces of meat? - 12/22/18

Good, simple recipe. I made caramelized onions and put over the top 1/2 way through cooking. - 12/12/18

The only different I did is I brown the beef first and then put it into oven. This recipe is so far the best. Very soft and juicy......it was a big hit for my 2016 New Year Party. - 1/3/16

this was very good. I am always looking for big meal ideas that can be made within 3 hrs. this was one and the tinfoil idea sure did make it moist after the initial oven bake. great recipe. - 10/9/15
