Ingredients
Directions
0.25 tsp Cinnamon, ground 0.35 small box (1.5 oz) Raisins 0.50 tsp packed Brown Sugar 2 tbsp Maple Syrup 0.15 cup Cranberries, dried, sweetened (craisins) 0.25 cup Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats 1 serving Red apple, 1 small .50 cup Milk, nonfat (skim milk)
How to make it:
Bring milk or you could use water( to eliminate more calories), to a boil, add oats, and reduce heat to medium. (If you'd like to add flax or chia seeds, do so now.)
Dice apples and add to the oatmeal immediately. Add raisins and cranberries.
Once more of the liquid has absorbed, add vanilla extract, maple syrup, optional molasses, cinnamon, and salt. Stir.
When you're pleased with the consistency of the oatmeal, transfer to a bowl. Serve with another splash of your milk of choice and any other additional toppings (shredded coconut, nuts, etc.).
