crockpot pot roast

Ingredients
1 lb beef chuck roast4 med potatoes4 lg carrots1 sm onion3 cups water2 tsp beef base3 cloves garlic, minced1/4 c flour (for gravy)
Directions
In large skillet, brown roast on all sides. Peel and quarter potatoes; place in crock pot. Peel slice carrots into sticks and place in crockpot. Place roast on top of veggies. Cover with onion slices. Mix beef base in water and pour over roast. During last hour of cooking drain liquid and bring to boil on stove. Whisk in flour to make gravy. Season to taste.
