Ingredients
2 carrots2 turnips2parsnips3 celery stalks2 onions250 grams split peas, dry yellow4 or 5 bacon bones
Directions
grate and cut fine all vegetables.
put vegetables, split peas and bacon bones in large pot , fill to near the top with water and simmer for 2 hours with lid on.
Remove any meat from bones and put meat back into the soup.Discarding bones.
serve with crusty bread.
