.1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar2/3 c. butter1 1/2 c. Quaker oats, uncooked1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour11/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate, butterscotch, or peanut butter pieces divided2 eggs2 tsp. vanilla3/4 tsp. salt3/4 tsp. soda
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until blended. reserve one cup of chocolate chips. Add remaining ingredients; spread into greased pan. Bake about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; melt remaining chocolate chips and spread on top of bars and freeze until chocolate is hard and then cut into bars.
