Red Cabbage

Ingredients
2 serving Bacon, Wright Smoked Bacon - 2 slices 1 tbsp Butter, salted 1 cup, chopped Onions, raw 2 clove Garlic 8 cup, chopped Cabbage, red, fresh 300 grams Apples, fresh with skin
Directions
Sauté bacon in butter till just crisping. Add sliced onion and crushed garlic and cook very slowly till softening.
Peel apples and slice and add together with a whole sliced red cabbage.
Add 2 tablespoons of vinegar and two tablespoons of brown sugar. Add grated nutmeg and a few twists of black pepper.
Coffee and cook very slowly for 45 minutes.
Freezes well

Serving Size: 10 1 cup servings. Depends on the size of cabbage!
