1/4 cup rolled oats1 Tbsp. walnuts3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour3 Tbsp. whole wheat flour2 1/2 Tbsp. packed light brown sugar1/8 tsp. cinnamon1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. canola oil6 firm, yet ripe pears, peeled (if desired), cored and cubed 1/4 cup raisins1 Tbsp. lemon juice2 Tbsp. sugar2 Tbsp. flour1/8 tsp. nutmegPinch of cloves
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray 8- or 9- inch round cake pan.
In food processor, pulse oats and walnuts 15 seconds. Add flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Blend 15 more seconds. While running, drizzle oil and blend 30 seconds. Transfer to bowl and set aside.
In another bowl, toss pears with next 6 ingredients. Spoon pears into prepared cake pan. Cover with oat mixture, pressing down gently. Bake 45-50 minutes, until topping is brown and pears are bubbling. Serve hot.

I would make this again, and even try it with Strawberries or Apples. I havent verified the nutritionals, but it seems high, as there's not much to this but the pears! Very tasty...my cousin asked for the recipe because she liked it so much, and she usually bakes full fat recipes! - 11/25/07

Easy and delicious! I used 2 cans of pears. I calculated the calories at 9 servings of 158 calories each; the servings are very small. It was a bit dry on top, but just stir it up with the pears. Actually, two cans of pears was not enough; I would double it to make the calorie count worth it. - 10/9/08
