Mandarin Orange Cake

Ingredients
1 cup sugar1 cup flour1 egg1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon vanilla1 small (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained1/2 cup nuts1/2 cup brown sugar2 tablespoons butter2 tablespoons milk
Directions
Mix first 8 ingredients until oranges are smooth. Add nuts last. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes in 9x9 square pan. (For 18 servings, double for a 9x13 pan; cook up to 10 minutes more.) For glaze, heat last three ingredients in saucepan to boiling while stirring frequently and boil for 1 min. Pour over top of hot cake.
