1/2 head cabbage 1 lb ground beef 1 onion1 carton Beef Broth3 stalk celery3 carrots2 -3 potatoes1 large can Diced Tomatoes 1/8 - 1/4 tsp Hot Pepper Sauce 1/8 - 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes1/2 tsp pepper1 tsp salt 2 cups -3 cups water (use enough to cover vegetable)3 tbsp beef soup base 1/2 turnip1/2 cup pot parley
Brown beef and onions. Add shredded cabbage and celery and cook til tender. Add beef broth, water, barley, and spices. Add chopped carrots, turnip and potatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and continue simmering til vegetables are cooked.
