Whole Wheat Muffin Bread with Almonds

2 c - Whole Wheat Flour1/2 c - Granulated Sugar3 tsp - Baking Powder1 tsp - Salt1 tsp - Cinammon3/4 c - Nonfat Milk1/2 c - Canola Oil (or Applesauce)1 Egg1/4 c - Slivered Almonds
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a bread pan (with a canola spray).
2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinammon in a large bowl.
3. Blend the milk, canola oil, and egg in a medium bowl.
4. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until well blended (but do not stir too much).
5. Gently blend the almonds into the mixture.
6. Pour the mixture into your bread pan.
7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Makes 12 servings.
