Apples and Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats

2 cups steel cut oats4 cups skim milk3 granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and chopped1 tsp salt1.5 tsp cinnamon
Add oats and apples to milk. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low and simmer ~20 minutes, or until desired consistency.
Makes ~6 1 cup servings. To serve, sprinkle with a little splenda to provide additional sweetness and top with 1/3 cup nonfat milk (optional and not included in nutritionals provided).
