Plain Old Carrot Cake

2 eggs1/3 cup sugar1/2 cup brown sugar1/2 cup canola oil1 tbsp vanilla2 1/2 cups coarsely grated carrot1/2 cup crushed pineapple, undrained1 cup flour1/2 cup whole wheat flour1 1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tbsp cinnamon1/2 tsp ground ginger1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350F, grease and flour two round cake pans.
Beat together eggs, sugars, oil and vanilla in a large bowl.
Fold in carrot and pineapple, mixing well.
In another bowl mix flours. baking soda, baking powder and spices.
Beat flour mix into the wet ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
Bake 30 minutes, cool completely in pans on a wire rack before frosting.
