cheesy potato soup

Ingredients
5 med potatoes peeled, quartered and sliced3/4-1 c chopped carrot3/4-1 c chopped celery3/4-1 c chopped onion 2 c water1 can or 2 c fat free chicken broth1 c milk1-2 clove garlic1/4-1/2 t salt1/8-1/4 t pepper1/2-3/4 c reduced fat sour cream8 pcs turkey bacon cooked and crimbled1 c 2% shredded cheddar cheese(can use american)2 green onions thinly sliced.
Directions
Cook potatoes, carrots, celery & onion with water. Add remaining ingredients except for cheese, milk and sour cream.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat. After about 15-20 mins break up potatoes. Once veggies are tender, add cheese, stirring until it melts. Add milk and stir until heated thru. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and top with green onions once in bowls.
