Ingredients
2 cups quick oats (not instant)¼ cup chopped walnuts½ cup shredded coconut½ cup raisins or chopped dates2 large ripe bananas, mashed¼ cup unsweetened applesauce (optional)1 T. date sugar (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Mix ingredients in large bowl. Press dough into 9” x 9” square pan. Bake for 30 min. Cool on wire rack.

    al-Banana-Raisin-Cookies-141179 (almost this recipe, no sugar, oil for applesauce; I used sliced almonds instead of walnuts, no coconut, and added cinnamon). Press HARD! Soft & dense (no leavening). Tryptophans (banana, oats) for sleep! Not too sweet. - 12/29/08
