Amy's Type O Black Eyed Peas

Ingredients
1 lb. dry black-eyed peas1/2 T. onion powder1/2 t. granulated garlic
Directions
Place all ingredients in crock pot and cover with water that reaches two inches over the top of the peas. Crock them on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Serve over brown rice. Add 2 oz beef fajita, cubed, or turkey smoked sausage for meat-eaters.

    Very good flavor. I soaked the peas first, drained the soaking water, and added 4 cups of water to the slowcooker with the peas - also added a veggie bouillon cube.- let it cook all day. Recipe made about 6 cups so serving size is 3/4 cup. Great on brown rice. I will make this again. Very easy! - 3/1/10
