"Turkey Sausage" Meatballs

Fennel, 1 cup, sliced *Fennel seed, 1 tbsp 1 clove garlic, choppedOnions, raw, 1 cup, chopped Bread crumbs, dry, grated, seasoned, 1 cup Basil, 2 tbsp Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp Rosemary, dried, 1 tbsp Salt, 1 tsp Fresh Ground Pepper, black, 1 tbsp *Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz Egg, fresh, 1 large (can use egg beaters)Crushed Red Pepper, 1 serving (
In a skillet, use cooking spray and add onion, garlic and chopped fennel (anise). Cook until soft on medium heat, don't let burn.
In a bowl mix fennel mixture with the rest of the ingredients. With your hands mix up the mixture and make into balls. Add to a non stick 13X9 pan.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, can also stir fry them, but this is lower fat.
Best if added to a spaghetti sauce. Even better if you cook in sauce for at least 20 minutes to make them extra moist.
Makes about 8 large meatballs or 16 small.
