cabbage lentil soup

Ingredients
Lentils (red or green, split) 1.5 cupssummer squash (whatever you desire) 2 cupschicken broth 4 cupswater 5 cupsonions (diced) 1 cup yams (diced) 2 cupscabbage chopped 3 cupsone can tomato soupone can tomato sauce
Directions
Bring water, chicken broth and lentils to a boil, let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, add the squash and simmer til tender. let cool and blend til smooth (I use a potato ricer). In a seperate pan, saute onions and cabbage and add to the soup, add the yams, simmer til tender. Serve when cooled a bit.
