Bean and Barley Stew

Ingredients
1 onion, chopped1 tsp minced garlic1 tsp olive oil1 can black beans, drained1 can pinto beans, drained1 8-oz can tomato sauce1 can diced tomatoes with seasonings, undrained1 cup broth1/2 cup pearled barley (uncooked)
Directions
Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until onions are tender. Combine all ingredients in a 3-qt slow cooker. Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-7 hours. Makes 6 1-cup servings.
