Basmati Rice

Ingredients
2 c. brown rice2 c. chicken broth1 Tbsp butter1 Tbsp olive oil1 c. chopped onion1/3 c. chopped celery1 tsp. chopped ginger1 tsp. cumin1/2 tsp. coriander1 bay leafpepper to tastesalt to taste
Directions
saute in olive oil: chopped onion and then celery until tender.
add spices and heat 1 min.
add chicken broth and butter. wait for butter to melt and stir. when everything is heating nicely and is mixed, add brown rice.
cook covered, occasionally stir. cook until rice absorbs all the liquid. serve.
