Slow Cook Bean & Ham Soup

Ingredients
2 cups Safeway Ham Bean Soup Mix1/3 Onion chopped5 3/4 oz Boneless Ham Steak, 97% fat free, cubed Black pepper, to tasteBasil, to taste6 cups Vegetable Broth3/4 cup Peas, frozen12 Baby Carrots, chopped
Directions
Soak beans over night as packaging indicates. The next day, rinse beans and make sure to get out any pebbles.

Add all ingridents to slow cooker (crockpot) and put on low (8 hours) or medium (5 hours) heat. Let cook, stir occasionally if you are around. Serve when it's time to eat.
