Beef Barley Stew

Ingredients
1 lb. round steakm cubed1 1/2 pounds red potatoes, cubed1 1/2 c. pearled barley4 medium carrots, sliced thick8 c. water1/2 tsp. black pepper1 Tbsp. Olive Oil1 tsp. garlic calt1/2 tsp. beef bouillon powder
Directions
Sear beef cubes in olive oil and black pepper. Put all ingredients except garlic salt and bouillon in a pot and boil until the barley is tender. Add bouillon and garlic salt and simmer for another 20 minutes or so. Makes about 12 1.5-cup servings.
