Chana daal

Ingredients
1/2 cup dry chana daal/split yellow peas, 2 tbsp Olive Oils1 medium Onion, sliced1 Tblsp ginger garlic paste1 tsp Salt1 tsp cumin1 tsp coriander 1/2 tst red chillie powder1 plum tomato,chopped
Directions
Soak daal for at least 1 hour before stating to cook. Wash and strain before starting.
Place oil in pressure cooker and fry onions on medim heat 'till light brown. Now add all the spices and let it sizzle for 1/2 a minute then add tomatoesand 1/4 cup water. cook until the tomatoe have blended and oil separates.
Now add the washed daal and 1 cup water.
Secure the lid and let it cook about 20 minutes.
Let cool then open lid then sprinkle some garam masala and stir.
Garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve with lemon wedges over rice or with roti.
