Ingredients
1.25 pounds Ground Turkey BREAST3/4 Cup Onion, chopped2-3 Cloves Garlic, minced1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, or more if you like1 large Egg1 tbsp Emeril's Southwest Essence 1/4 - 1/2 Cup Newman's Own Marinara Sauce1 tbsp Italian Seasoning (Herbs: Oregano, Rosemary, Parsely, etc)1/4 cup Progresso Bread Crumbs - Italian Style
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F
Spray casserole dish or loaf pan with non-stick spray.
Beat egg in small bowl, set aside.
Place turkey in a large bowl, add onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, egg, Essense, bread crumbs, italian seasoning. Combine with hands, do not over handle or it will be tough. If you feel the mixture is a little too dry add a little of the marinara sauce to moisten it. If you feel it is too moist add a little bread crumbs. Turkey is low fat so it is not as moist as beef so it takes some experimenting to get it right. Do not use too many bread crumbs as it will dry it out more, add a little at a time. You can add more but you can't take out...
Once everything is combined shape it into a loaf and place in your casserole dish. Spread remaining marinara sauce on top and bake until cooked through and no longer pink inside.
I did the servings at 4 ouces per serving, so it should be around 5
