Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour1/2 cup sugar1/4 cup cocoa powder2 1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1 cup soymilk (or regular milk)1/2 cup applesause, unsweetened3 tbsp mashed banana1 tsp vanilla extract1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In separate bowl, whisk together soy milk, applesauce, mashed banana, and vanilla.
Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.
Bake 18-20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Makes apporximately 12 muffins.
