Ingredients
Raw Yellow Mung dal - 0.5 cup, 2 serving (remove)Onions, raw, 0.5 medium (2-1/2" dia) (remove)*Canola Oil, 2 1tsp (remove)Red Ripe Tomatoes, 1 large whole (3" dia) (remove)*Cumin seed, 1 tsp (remove)Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tsp (remove)Ginger Root, 1 tsp (remove)Garlic, 0.5 tsp (remove)*Spinach, cooked, 1 cup (remove)Brown Sugar, 2 tsp packed (remove)
Directions
Cook dal with 5 cups water. Add salt and sugar
heat oil, add chopped onions, ginger-garlic and chopped tomatoes. Saute for a few min. Add cooked spinach. Add the whole thing to half-cooked dal and cook until done.
Turn off heat and a dash of lime juice.
