My Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup softened margarine1/2 cup shortening1 cup firmly packed brown sugar1/2 cup granulated sugar2 eggs2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 1/2 cups all purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt12 ounce package chocolate chips
Directions
Cream butter and shortening, gradually add sugars beating until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla, beating well

Combine flour, soda, and salt, add to creamed mixture, beating well.

Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 7-8 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
