Ingredients
1 1/3 C warm water2 T canola, or vegetable oil3 T honey1 1/2 t salt1 1/2 C white bread flour1 1/3 C whole wheat flour1/2 C ground flax seed2 t bread machine yeast
Directions
Place all ingredients into bread machine, in order listed.

Set to basic bread cycle, on crust color of your choice. (I prefer light).

Makes approximately 12 servings, 1 slice each.

    This is a very good, hearty bread. I made with the delay start on my BM and it worked out wonderfully. I chose 1.5 lb setting. I love that it tastes healthy. I couldn't wait for it to cool, so I can't wait to try on a sandwhich after the flavors blend even more. Thanks for a great recipe! - 12/15/12

    Okay, this bread came out perfect! I actually got about 16 slices out of it. Often, bread machine bread gets that big hole in the bottom from the paddle but it was only minimal with this loaf. This bread is delicious and, even though it has a higher content from the flax it is healthy and delish! - 1/6/13

    This is a terrific recipe! I use spelt flour instead of the whole wheat. The bread is not crumbly so it is great for sandwiches. Such a nice texture. Delicious!

    This bread turns out awesomely! I make 2 loaves with this recipe by choosing the dough cycle in the bread machine and then forming the loaves and putting them in the oven to bake. I've made the recipe at least 25 times now and it ALWAYS turns out perfectly. The taste is fabulous. - 4/8/10
