Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredients
1/3 c. shortening1 3/4 c. flour (white or white/wheat mixed)2 1/2 tsp. baking powder3/4 t. salt3/4 c. milk (calculated with 1% milk)
Directions
Sift together dry ingredients.
Cut shortening into flour mixture until pea-sized and dry-looking.
Stir in just enough milk so it rounds up into a ball.
Knead on floured board 10 times.
Roll 1/2-3/4" thick, and cut into rounds.
Bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes.
Makes about 12 biscuits- one biscuit is one serving.
