Ingredients
- 2 lbs of Chicken Breasts (I use Tyson 99% Fat Free boneless skinless to reduce calories and fat while increasing protien)- 6 to 8 tbsp of BBQ sauce (I like KC Masterpiece, low cal and good flavor)- 4 oz of Mango Puree (To ease use and control amount of cal I used the Beechnut baby food, one jar is all you need)- 2/3 tbsp Garlic Powder- Optional Dash of Bread Crumbs (for on top)
Directions
Preheat the oven for 375 degrees.

First mix the BBQ sauce, garlic powder, and puree mango (I use the magic bullet mixer)
Pour a third of the sauce into a baking dish.

Cut the chicken into 4 oz pieces (8 servings) and place into baking dish. Cover with sauce (I always seem to have an ounce or so left over). Sprinkle bread crumbs if desired and place inteh oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until throughly cooked.

Enjoy with corn or baked beans to round out the meal!

This was a good idea for a recipie! I used "Bone Suckin' Sauce" (BBQ sauce - bonesuckin.com) and i minced 1 whole mango and a medium onion; I added cilantro, parsley, and pepper... then I left it marinate for 2 days. This is SOOOO good! - 4/27/09

I am so sorry, but my husband and I both thought this was terrible and I love mango - I was so excited. Not sure I will be able to convince him to try again. I don't know what happened - sorry to be the lone dissenter here, but wanted to give my opinion! - 5/6/09

Very good with minced garlic mixed in with the mango puree and bbq sauce. Very subtle and satisfying mix of sweet and savory. - 5/3/09

I pureed an entire mango with some finely chopped onion. I also grilled the chicken, then added the sauce. Yummy. - 5/16/09

I really liked the mango sauce. I used real mangos. As far as the total dish, I would grill the chicken first with a little bit of spices on it and then I would bake. The texture was a little soft for me. I would definitely make this variation again! - 5/14/09

This was really good! I made it with brown rice and veggies. My fiance ate his all and then asked for more. My 3 year old ate it too. Yummy :) - 5/1/09

I made this receipe and my picky husband loved it.
I pureed my own mangoes instead of using the baby
food jar. The grandkids liked it too. Thanks - 4/30/09

Great recipe!!!! Used real mangos, didn't have garlic powder at hand so I used onion powder instead. This is really good. My family loved it. I also grilled the chicken before, then I baked in the oven with the sauce... - 5/17/09

I used some leftover Neumans peach salsa instead of the babyfood - this was so tasty and easy as pie!

Fantastic - I had some leftover Trader Joe's Peach Salsa and substituted it for the pureed mango. Yum - 5/7/09

It was ok I just didn't taste the mango much, I may have used to strong of a BBQ sauce which overpowered the mango favor. I'll have to give it another try with a littler sauce. - 6/4/09

This tasted good -- and I liked the nice soft texture of the chicken. I used canned mango from the Asian supermarket, as the regular store didn't have mango baby food. I had to cook it longer (a total of about 30 minutes) to bring it up to a safe temperature (180F on a meat thermometer). - 6/2/09

I think this would have been better with a different proportion of mango to BBQ sauce. - 5/29/09

I really enjoyed this recipe! I tried to find the mango baby food but my grocery store didn't have it, so I just bought a really ripe mango and puréed it. Served with roasted red potatoes and baby carrots. Yum! - 5/27/09

We loved this recipe. I made it twice...two nights in a row! I did it a little different though, I sauted an onion with about three cloves of garlic until the ontion was soft, then I added the BBQ sauce and Hot Mango Chutney (it wasn't that hot though...just gave it a kick). Over brown rice. Yum - 5/21/09

We made this tonight a little bland for my taste. Next time might add onion and additional seasoning or use mango salsa as I saw some people suggest. - 5/19/09

Very Very Yummy and so easy to make! We grilled instead of baking and the sauce kinda carmelized.. Will definitely make this again. :) - 5/16/09

For convenience, I switched apricot baby food in place of the mango. Easy and tasty on the grill. - 5/13/09

I used Split Chicken Breasts with pureed thawed mango, everything else the same. It came out SOOO good, juicy, yummy. Served it with Vegetarian Baked Beans as suggested, and it was PERFECT! Thank You! - 5/13/09
