Ingredients
Recipe By : okanogServing Size : 8Categories : Pasta8 ounces spaghetti marinara sauce1 package frozen chopped spinach 4 ounces ricotta cheese1/4 tablespoon oregano1/8 teaspoon pepper1/4 teaspoon fresh nutmeg -- grated1/2 whole cooking onion diced1 tablspoon minced fresh garlic8 - 1 ounce Cannelloni, Pasta -- pre - cooked1 whole egg1 cup parmesan cheese, grated1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Directions
Spread 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce in ungreased rectangular baking dish, [13 x 9 x 2 inches]

Drain and squeeze excess water from spinach, damp but not wet.

Mix spinach, riccotta cheese, diced onion, garlic, Parmesan cheese, oregano, pepper and whole raw egg.

Fill pre-cooked cannelloni shells with spinach mixture; arrange on spaghetti sauce in dish.
Pour remaining spaghetti sauce evenly over shells, covering completely; sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese, last 15 minutes of baking.

Cover and bake until shells are tender, 350 oven for 45 minutes.

    I know it tastes great! The only problem is that the calorie value is for only 1 cannelloni and that is hardly one serving unless it is served with other food on the same plate or it would look rather empty. But it is definitely nutritious and delicious. - 3/23/07

    I made this tonight for supper. It was fabulous!!! I made my own pasta and used low fat ricotta. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I served it with a large salad. It was delicious and filling. I'll definitely make it again. - 1/4/16
