Ingredients
1 TB sesame oil4 cloves garlic, minced2 TB oyster sauce1 tsp Worcestershire sauce1 tsp honey1 TB sriracha hot chili sauce (available at most Asian grocers; it has a rooster on the bottle)1 TB soy sauce3 TB teriyaki sauce1 TB white wine (I use vino verde)1 TB lemon juice1 tsp cornstarch (optional)*Please note: The proportions in this recipe are a very rough guide. You will probably want to do some adjusting for taste - especially with the chil sauce. I like my stir-fry very spicy!
Directions
This sauce makes a great marinade, especially for firm tofu. If you are cooking with tofu, my favorite method is to marinate it and bake it, then add cubes of it to the following stir-fry. Delish!
****If you are using meat, cook it ahead of time and set it aside. sautee the garlic in the sesame oil in a wok or frying pan over medium heat. Once the garlic starts to become aromatic, add your vegetables, cook for a few minutes, and then add the sauce ingredients. Cook until the vegetables are nearing their desired consistency, then add cooked meat or firm tofu, and cook for a little longer. If the sauce seems too soupy toward the end of cooking, mix the cornstarch with a little cold water, stir until smooth, and mix in to the stir-fry. It should thicken up pretty quickly.
