8 ounces ground lean turkey1 small can sliced water chestnuts, chopped8 washed and dried large iceberg lettuce leafs1 medium onion, chopped finely2 large cloves garlic, chopped finely2-4 tbsp Soy Sauce, low sodium if you like2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce1 tbsp white vinegar3 tbsp Sweet Chile Chicken Sauce (from Asian Market)3 tbsp brown sugar3/4 cup waterHot sauce, salt and cilantro to taste
Brown ground turkey in a pan with non-stick spray. Add diced onions when mostly cooked through. Stir until onions begin to soften, and add garlic. When it becomes fragrant, add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Taste, and add hot sauce, salt and cilantro to your liking. When the sauce becomes thicker, turn the heat to low.
Wash and dry large lettuce leafs. Place on a plate at the table. Transfer meat mixture to a bowl and serve with a large spoon. Take a lettuce leaf, like a tortilla, and add meat mixture. Fold and enjoy!
