Shannon's Lite Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
Cut up 4 cups of strawberries and pour over 1/2 cup of sugar.Let that sit for about 30 -40 min. Then mash with a potato masher. Pour this mixture over a dessert shell (angel food cake can also be used)Then top with lite cool whip.
Directions
serving size is one cake with 1/2 cup of strawberry topping and one serving of lite cool whip.
