Curried Channa

Ingredients
1 19-oz. can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)1 m. onion, chopped1 T. olive oil2 T. curry powder1 cl. garlic, minced1 T. ketchup1 t. hot pepper saucesalt & pepper to taste
Directions
1. Drain chickpeas, reserving 1/2 c. liquid.
2. Saute onion and garlic in oil.
3. Add curry powder and cook for one minute.
4. Add chickpeas to pan and fry for five minutes.
5. Add remaining ingredients, including reserved liquid.
6. Simmer for fifteen minutes
7. Serve hot.
